Meet the Maker
From the Farm to the Apothecary — A Story of Roots, Healing & Dreams

I grew up the youngest of five children on a farm in Southern Ontario, Canada — the kind of childhood where you knew where your food came from because you grew it yourself. My parents were passionate gardeners long before "organic" was a buzzword, and I spent my happiest hours beside my Dad in the barn or out on the tractor, hands in the earth, close to nature.
Even then, I knew I was meant to care for others. I practiced nursing on my dolls, kittens, and puppies from the age of five. That calling never wavered.
I went on to earn my nursing degree, and after several years in Ontario, I felt the pull of something more — more to learn, more to experience. So I packed up and moved to Houston, Texas, not knowing a single soul, and began working in a Level 1 Trauma Center. It was the best decision of my life. Over the next 26 years, I dedicated my career to patients at one of the country's leading cancer hospitals — showing up every day with compassion, precision, and heart.
Then came retirement. And if you know me at all, you know I am not someone who sits still.
The Dream That Started It All
As my career chapter closed, my spiritual journey deepened. I expanded my meditation practice, began following the cycles of the moon, and began tapping into my intuitive gifts — crystals, essential oils, herbal remedies, and Reiki. I discovered the profound power of the new moon phase — that sacred window of time dedicated to manifestation, to dreaming, to whispering your desires to the Universe or the God of your understanding.
It worked. Dream after dream began to take shape in my waking life.
And then one night, the apothecary came to me — literally, in a dream. I saw myself tending to ailments, easing discomfort, offering comfort through nature's botanical gifts. For a woman who had spent decades at the bedside of patients in their most vulnerable moments, it felt less like a business idea and more like a calling.
Where Science Meets the Sacred
I dove deep into research — the chemistry of essential oils, the healing properties of botanical flowers, the richness of plant-based oils, butters, and waxes. My nursing background gave me a rigorous, evidence-informed lens. My spiritual practice gave me intention and heart.
The result? A line of handcrafted balms and salves rooted in nature and designed to genuinely help:
- Headache relief and restful sleep blends
- Pain, bruising, and inflammation support
- Skin healing for rashes, irritation, and general first aid
- Even a paw pad balm for our beloved fur babies 🐾
And then — why stop at ointments? I found my way into candle-making, discovering that all-natural soy wax burns clean and beautifully, and that by sourcing fragrance oils that meet clean, non-toxic standards, I had fully entered my chemistry lab era. Blending scents became an art form — one I pour my whole self into.
